BIO
Rosemary Prinz, PMP PROSCI
Hello.
My name is Rosemary Prinz. The purpose of this website is to introduce you to me, and to the services I offer with an eye to finding a fit for you or your organization. A bit about me first.
I have an avid curiosity about the world and spend as much time as possible traveling in exploration of different cultures and beliefs. And food. It is amazing how many cultures, no matter how different or exotic, all have dumplings. If you can find me one that does not have dumplings, I will be happy to go there.
Spirituality and religion are high on my curiosity radar and I have had the very great honour of being able to study with a number of amazing Spiritual teachers. Their websites will be added to this site, eventually, for anyone interested in exploring these worlds. The more I travel the more my personal beliefs are challenged and, in most cases, those personal beliefs fall away as I realize they limit my ability to connect with others.
Now … onto Project and Program Management …
Project and Program Management
I began my career in Information Technology (IT) in the early 80’s where, if you could identify a computer, the job was yours. It was an exciting time as every aspect of IT technology was changing and evolving on, what felt like, a daily basis. Very few people knew what to do and much of our learning was done by the seat of our pants. Hoping that what we were doing would work. I started as a software developer and quickly added database designer, Project Manager (PM) and trainer to my repertoire as the work I took on became more complex. Of all those roles, PM was the most appealing. The chaos which exists at the beginning of most projects can be overwhelming, however, the path thru that chaos into reason and structure exists. The challenge for the PM is to find that path, then lead the team through it. I love that challenge. And for me, the natural evolution was to expand my ability to help my team thru chaos by adding Program Manager (PgM) to my role.
I am experienced in applying Waterfall, AGILE, Incremental and Iterative methodologies as well as designing hybrid approaches where they make sense in meeting and exceeding stakeholder expectation. No one approach works for every project, program or product development.

Workshop Facilitation
When managing a project or program, the first and most important step for the PM or PgM is to ensure all team members understand what is to be accomplished and why. Workshops provide the platform for that understanding as well as engaging the team and creating the space for creativity and problem solving. Workshops are useful outside of projects and programs as well. I have managed different teams in problem solving exercises, defining the vision and mission of their corporations and process re-engineering through workshops. Over my career I have had the opportunity to work with several, highly respected facilitators. Adopting their techniques and tools to match my personal style and approach. Ensuring that my workshops are engaging, fun and most importantly, a good use of people’s valuable time.
Coaching
Coaching has always part of my role as the PM or PgM. A necessary tool to use when guiding a team member thru a difficult task or helping team members work thru a conflict. I began to see the value of coaching as a tool for assisting my teams, and over time, my clients, in overcoming obstacles in their lives. I enrolled in a series of Conflict Resolution (Negotiation and Mediation) courses thru the Justice Institute of British Columbia and became a student with Dr Carlos de Leon in his Body-Mind and Transpersonal Psychology Therapy Program. In addition to these, I added Appreciative Inquiry and Active Listening to my coaching toolkit. Coaching has proven an invaluable asset in my life and I am honoured to be able to provide this service to others.
